Mom took me up to Monmouth, one of the antebellum homes, on a beautiful afternoon for some pictures in my Easter dress. Of course this was Lucie's dress but I am growing into it nicely.
Fortunately, we were in town during the Spring Pilgrimage and after pulling a few strings with the Pageant Committee, Lala made sure I would be making my tableaux debut. This is Kathleen McAndrews backstage before the Soiree. Maybe I will borrow her dress for next year.
So it was set, I was to appear during the Showboat with Lala carrying me. I think this bonnet looks ridiculous, though.
I feel much better with that off and don't even feel nervous right before my big entrance!
I was very attentive and really enjoyed both ballets and the singing. I wish I had the pictures of Hunter onstage as the bartender but I already sent them to Crystal Ann!
FGM (fairy God mother) and I actually stayed up for the finale and went to the floor to have our picture made with Crystal Ann. She is the most beautiful of all the court. I told my Dad that the Byrne's ruled tonight at the Tableaux and of course he was so proud, being a former King and all.
On my way back to the Lou, we stopped off in Memphis as usual. I picked up this retro walker in Natchez which is just perfect for me. Not too many bells and whistles, ya know? Anyway, my cousin Landon loves pushing me around.

When there are stops in Memphis I would love to know about them since I'm so close! Remember, I live there too!
